The history of Rhyn-Rivet

Rhyn-Rivet was started by Catherine Rhyner. When she was young, she visited Japan and was introduced to ceramics by a villager. She grew to respect family heirloom pieces as her grandmother collected crystal ornaments. She started the Rhyn-Rivet collection in 1994 using China paints, inlaid glazes, metals and glitter. Marilea Groves is the lead artist for the Rhyn Rivet collection and has been inspired for a lot of the designs by her childhood memories. Catherine has created an artistic vision for the fine porcelain pieces while Marilea has added versatility and creative inspiration to the company. The hallmark of the Rhyn-Rivet collection is the hand-painted bas-relief floral motif, many of which are inspired by Marilea's garden.

Our assortment includes unique, handmade porcelain Christmas ornaments, floral ornaments and decorative eggs. Rhyn-Rivet can also complete a customized set with exclusive designs for organizations and stores. The beautiful Disney World collection of Mickey Mouse pieces has even been featured at Disneyland's Artists Convention.
